IT'S SNOWING! Just not right!

It started about 10 minutes ago. May I remind nature that is it October 29th, and SE PA, not Alaska?

I hate this weather!

Here too. We did have the mix, but now it seems to be pretty much all snow.

Tabby was funny this morning. It's her first snow and she was sitting in the bay window and reaching up to try to catch the flakes as they fell past the window. She was muttering away, probably telling the flakes to stop so she could catch them. We went through that last year, too, with Mollipop. She was very intrigued by the snow flakes. This year? Molli's flopped on the chair next to me at the computer taking a nap.

Snowing in Western PA!

I would love for it to come here! There was a snowflake in the forecast, but then again, there has been for the past few days. Hope it comes to Montana!

When I went out to feed the outside kitties this morning it was ccccoooollllllddddd, windy, and raining. Shortly thereafter, the snow started. Now it's big, fat, wet flakes, and they're sticking.

Hey, it snowed yesterday (or the day before) in Texas, too.

Waiting for it here in Mass too. I am with the kitties. I love to sit in the window and watch it. Atleast the first couple of times, then I am over it.

I saw a news story about the storm on TV this morning.

About twenty years ago we had a Halloween blizzard here in S.E. Minnesota. I was working in Rochester at that time and using a commuter bus to get back and forth between work and home. The day of that blizzard, the trip that usually took 25 minutes took 2 hours!

Despite the fact that the forecast was rain/snow, it's sunny here, too!
So not sunny here. We probably have about five inches or so. The road is covered now and our driveway is going to be a mess. Rick came home from doing banking this morning and he said that even the main road, at that time, was not in good shape. I'm glad it's Saturday and we can stay home.

We'll have to call our driveway weenie to plow us out....no way can we shovel the amount of snow we're supposed to get out of the driveway. We were only forecasted to get about six inches. And there's easily five out there now.

I hate winter.

And there goes the power. Crap.

It stopped for about 2 hours, now it's full force again--and now, they are predicting 10" of snow (instead of 2-4").

We're not going to either party tonight, needless to say. Sorry to whine about it, but Halloween is my favorite holiday, and for me, this party is like what Christmas is to many other people. However, it's not worth risking our lives for. I also think we may be losing the power tonight. It's flickered a few times during the day; a friend who's a few miles away lost his earlier today. And, it just broke our patio umbrella.

Stupid, stupid weather!

280,000 people are without electricity in Pennsylvania's Susquehanna Valley. As fast as the workers get the power back on, it goes right back out again. They're having a difficult time keeping up.

So you guys out east are gonna throw something at me when I mention it was close to 70 here today. I was outside in flip flops and a t-shirt this afternoon. Kansas City can have spectacular Indian Summer days in October.

Tomorrow not as warm here, but back up to 70's on Monday and Tuesday.

Denver got the first of this earlier this week, with the storm they have every few years. They call this one the "Fall tree trimmer," and the storm they get almost every year in late April the "Spring tree trimmer."
