Hi, guys. Haven't been around on TCS much lately. Busy with lots of stuff. I pulled an older calico from the local pound and I am fostering her for a local rescue. I named her Marigold. The rescue vet thinks she is in that 8-10 y.o. range.

Among her "issues" are stiff hip joints. The vet gave me these green-lip mussel Glycoflex treats to help her, but she will not eat them. In fact, NONE of my cats will eat them. Well, supplements are only useful if the are INGESTED - right? I searched the Health forum and got some good info, but would love to hear from our knowledgeable member base directly about what might work. She likes both wet and dry. We had to work hard to knock out a clostridium perfringens infection ( she has been Q'd from the other cats) and she is on the mend.

I have enclosed a photo of her. I will intro her in the Cat Pics forum with more info. (Note - she looks mean here, but she isn't. She is a sweet, gentle girl
)

Thanks!!!!

I use Cosequin for arthritis. It's a capsule, but you sprinkle the contents over wet food and mix it in. It can take it a few weeks to fully kick in, but the wait is worth it.

Thanks, Stephanie. I just ordered some Cosequin for her. I let her out for a little bit since her GI infection is cleared up. She really had a hard time with the stairs in my condo. So ... here's hoping this stuff helps!
