I'be posted a lot of pictures of my kitten Eva, but I thought I'd show you a picture of our other cat Neo.

There's a story behind his name. When he was a five week old kitten on a farm, he ran up the hind leg of a shire horse, and got kicked clear across the yard, breaking his foreleg cleanly. My wife had only just qualified as a vet, and decided to try and save the leg by pinning it. Unfortunately, as I've told her a million times since, a kitten's bones at that age are just too small to be confident, and she was unable to save the leg. She decided instead to cut her losses and save the kitten, so she chopped off the leg at the shoulder joint and sewed him up. Recovery was looooooong. A kitten in cage rest is a pitiful sight, especially when learning to hobble about on three legs. Trying to keep the wound clean with a kitten learning to use a litter tray in a a box was, well, a nightmare. He was in that box for months....

He should have come down with a thousand and one infections. He should of had massive internal injuries. He should have been completely socially withdrawn. He should have become a major problem for someone. But he didn't, and know he's a very happy, and very lazy 11 year old boy. My wife felt guilty about chopping his leg off even though she saved his life, so she took him home, and there he stayed. Apparently, she and the vet nurse were crying as they sewed him back up.

Anyway, Neo. It means "New life". I guess he had a tough start, but he ended up happy enough

This is him sitting next to the kitten Eva.

Anyway,

Oh, I like his head shape! It's very British (domestics tend to have different looks in different countries, and he sure looks like he could have been a BSH ancestor).

Oh Neo!
I'm sorry the little fella had such a rough start, but ultimately, he's one very lucky boy! I love love love love B&W kitties, and I agree with Mystik Spiral - that half mustache is just tooooooo cute!
