Signature Tutorial- for Gimp

I decided to put together a signature tutorial for anyone who's interested. It's just the basics to putting together a simple signature with a photo background in Gimp. You can download Gimp for free here: http://www.gimp.org/ Let me know if you don't understand the instructions or need any help.

Great tutorial, Eileen, I make mine with Pant Shop Pro and when it comes to resizing the masked pictures, I make them a new layer on the background and then resize it so I get it the perfect size, also, what feather size do you use?

ETA: Just saw, I use mine on 10 or 12

That's a good idea. I always do it the hard way. Usually I can just eyeball the picture, though.

I also use point-to-point masking, when it's used with the feather feature it gives it a cleaner look, if you know what I mean
