How fast is the average digestive system in a 7 month old kitten? from in to out? 24 hours? more?

I think Picasso swallowed a piece of a toy (Can't find it anywhere) and it's a big piece. i want to keep an eye on her

Been a long time since this was something I discussed with a vet, but I seem to recall that the complete process, from eating to excreting takes like 18-22 hours.

thank you

She might've batted the toy under furniture and I can't find it, but I still worry! I noticed it gone about 8 hours ago. and she's eating and playing now.

It would probably be a good idea to dose her with Laxatone and olive oil to grease it through (if you really think she ate it). My ferret once ate a piece of a rubber toy and got blocked. He was a sick little dude. Not wanting him to go through surgery unless absolutely necessary, I sat up with him all night, dosing him with Laxatone and olive oil hourly. He passed it
. But ferrets' digestive systems go a lot faster than cats', so I saw quicker results with him. I'm not sure how long it would take for kitties.

A cat's natural digestive process takes an average of 12 hours, start to finish. Processed foods take a good bit longer, with kibble taking the longest. Indigestible material stays in the stomach the longest, but is usually pushed along once the stomach is emptied of all other contents. (If you free-feed, I'd switch to timed feedings at this point!)

As long as your cat is eating and pooping normally, you're probably good to go. If she stops doing either, or starts throwing up, you'll want to take in her ASAP.

Many vibes this thing passes without a hitch!!

How long does medication stay in the system? Or am I mixing apples and oranges.
It seems the side effects of drugs last longer with Ritz than published; Metacam about 24+ hours; 15 hours and counting.
Thanks.
