The power of the purr

Thread Starter
I can't honestly say I could physically feel Turtle Dove on my chest, licking my chin. I could sense the essence of her spirit close to me. I could hear her purr and she was calling my name to come home.
When I woke up I couldn't remember what day it was or where I was at, but I certainly remembered Turtle's visit.
So here I am.
I want to thank each and everyone of you for the wonderful words of prayers, love and support you sent my way. I'm overwhelmed and very very touched!! to all of you!
You've not only been here during the joyful times, but you've been here during the long dark days too. And that's made all the difference in my life!!
It's not a forum to me it's a family.
I come from a place where family is either dead or estranged;and friends only tolerate my love for cats.
You've all saved my sanity in the past and now you've played a part in saving my life. How can I thank you for that??????????
The doctors don't have a clue what made me slip into a coma. They're also confused about what brought me out of it. For the time being I think I'll keep that miracle to myself.
I got a report from my friend that as she was leaving the apartment to come see me today she noticed Turtle trying to get into the carrier!!
Oh Turtle Dove hang on Sweetie!! I'm coming home on Wednesday!!!

And can't wait for you and Turtle to be finally together on Wednesday!!!

Yes we were all worried about you and we were checking every day to see if there was any news. I hope the doctors find out what caused your coma and that it never happens to you go. Turtle is patiently waiting for you to go home, I'm so happy for you.

My name probably isn't familiar to you (Kooky-Cats - Lana), since I had not posted in a while until fairly recently. But I've been following your story and have been so touched by it. It's truly a miracle and Turtle was so instrumental in your recovery. I cry every time I read about it -- and I just called a good neighbor of mine (who is our kitty-sitter) to tell her your story. As I was relaying the story to her I just couldn't keep from getting choked up. My heartfelt wishes for your complete recovery, coming home to your little sweetheart, and look forward to seeing your posts. Give Turtle a big kiss from me and my 3 kitties - Tony, Tippytoes and Angel.

Just confirms what I so deeply believe about the power of love - human or feline

everyone here has said the words for me. Welcome back and speedy recovery, Turtle wants you home quickly!

So happy to see you posting and to hear you'll be home soon.

I spoke to my mother about your ordeal and she says she's seen it before (retired nurse), the body sometimes just turns itself off in order to make repairs.
That's how she put it anyway.
She says frequently being reminded of your obligations to the living (your kitty) is what it takes to turn the switch back on

So very glad Turtle knew what she needed to do.

This is just the cutest thing EVER! Totally made my day.

My cat Tiny is empathetic like that. Whenever I get stuck in a mental loop, he seems to catch on and nudge me out of it. Of course, he also likes to lick my hair and chase Christy, so you can't have everything...
