Safe and sound. Kitties were glad to see us. I had worried about Tabby while we were gone, but as we drove up the drivway, she was lounging in the bay window in the living room. Nothing wrong there.

Molli won't leave me alone. She wants a lot of attention and basically, I'm trying to type with one hand while holding her with my other arm.

It was a lovely visit and a lovely weekend. I so enjoy spending time with my friend and we were able to spend some time out and about. She's truly a peach to be with!

Will be back later...trying to get some laundry done and some catering done to our Miss Pop!

The Mutsus are amazing and delicious! Some of those things are downright huge! I'll start making sauce tomorrow night.

Rick and I stopped at Penzey's on the way up to my GF. I was very low on a lot of my standard spices and had to buy quite a bit to replenish my supply.

And after we got to my GF, we all went to Stonewall Kitchen, where I bought a neat ceramic batter bowl with a handle and a spout. I'm going to love that for whipping up muffins and biscuits and such. I'm such a mustard lover, too, and was able to get some Cheddar Ale Mustard, some Horseradish Mustard, and some Blue Cheese Herb Mustard. I found some cute little sugar sprinkles in the shape of autumn leaves that I can use to decorate cupcakes and cookies. And I broke down and bought a box of Coconut Madeleine cookie mix....I'll make the cookies and take them to work....Rick does not eat coconut. Rick wanted a bottle of Butter Pecan Syrup, so now I have to make him some waffles.

We didn't get much at Trader Joe's this time as I still have a bottle of olive oil from when my nephew came home; he had brought me two quart bottles of TJs olive oil home. We bought some cheeses; TJs always has excellent cheeses and we love to sample their stash.

We made it to all three Book Barns and I got away cheap with only spending about $40. Hard back books are $4-5 and all paperbacks are $1. I only bought one cookbook; the rest of my stash is paperback novels.

So we did well this time around.

Wow!! Sounds fantastic! My Mom had a copy of Penzy's catalog once someone at work had given her. I read that thing like a book!! Everything sounded so good! I've yet to make a purchase though. Those mustards sound yummy! What do you use them with? And the cheeses sound great too. Wish we had a Trader Joes here!! I'd be visiting regularly I'm sure!! And it's probably good we don't have a Book barn because I'd be there regularly too!

Glad you had a great visit with Lia. Tell her that I miss seeing her posts.

Blue Cheese Mustard sounds absolutely wonderful. I love mustard and love blue cheese.

Glad the kitties are well and everything is ok at home.

Welcome back!

Sounds FABULOUS!
So glad all was well at home with the babies - always nice to come home to that!

I suspect it'll be hard to do laundry while holding Mollipop.
