Hi there, I'm new and haven't really introduced myself yet. Anyway I have a male snowshoe named Loki. He's around 2 years old according to the humane society, but my guess would be closer to 1.5. I've had him for about 6 months now and was recently switching him to a wet diet. We're doing 50/50 wet and dry right now and all was going just fine for about 2 weeks. Yesterday morning however I noticed his leavings were not very well formed. Then last night the poor guy probably used the litter 5-6 times in an 8 hour period. His poops are light yellow and only partially solid...not watery diarrhea or anything. (sorry this is really gross to describe). I thought back to what has changed in the last 3 days and the only thing of note is that I've started feeding him Wellness. Before that he had some wilderness and evo (just trying different things out). So now I'm stumped. Do I continue with the wellness and hope his tummy settles? Does this warrant a vet trip? (He's still eating just fine) I just don't know if I should be worried or not. Of note I have been treating an ear infection for him for the last week. Any advice would be great.

I found the text in this book spot on, but the illustrations aren't helpful at all. Good over all book

This mat caught my eye because of its size and texture, which traps fine litter rather well. It's large enough for jumbo litterboxes, which is also a plus. It's not quite as easy to clean as a...

This scoop was a freebie with some clumping litter I bought last year, and I like it so much that I've bought a second one. It's perfect for fine clumping litter, which it sifts very thoroughly....

I would stop the Wellness and see if that stops the loose poops. It could be that the formula is too rich for him.

Thank you for your reply. I guess I kinda suspected that. I have like 10 cans of Wellness in my cupboard
(guess this is more for the nutrition section) but do you think I can slowly re-introduce the wellness food? So far he's had a whole can of turkey (start of diarrhea) and half a can of chicken (more diarrhea). Yesterday he got wilderness and his dry foods and I found a well formed, albeit tiny poop. So is it possible to try wellness again..maybe in smaller portions? Will his tummy ever get used to it? I have other flavours I could try. Any expertise would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks!

I would let his bowels settle down first. Then, in a few weeks, try again. If you get the same results, you'll know he can't tolerate the Wellness.
