I couldn't help but take in this sweet girl today. I got a call about a cat who had been hanging around someones house off of a busy street for over a week. No one would claim her and if she didn't find somewhere to go soon they were going to take her to the pound, where she would have been put to sleep because they are full. When I got her I discovered she has a good size round pregnant belly! I dont know how far along she is, but we will get the vet to take a guess when we go on Tuesday to get a check-up and FIV/FLeV tested. She is a total love bug and a little piggy, but I cant blame her for that one. The pictures dont really show how big her belly is like it shows in person. Getting a picture with her face was hard enough.. I had to hold the food over my head to get her attention.

I havnt decided if I am going to name her a name and the babies what ever name I choose, or if I should name her something that will go with a theme.

good thing the vet doesn't charge if you miss an appointment. I stayed up late last night doing school work, not to mention that my roommate was being loud until at least 7am when I fell asleep, and in my tiredness I set my alarm to pm not am.
I'm sure the receptionist thought I was crazy when I called to reschedule because not only did I tell her of my alarm mishap, but I also had my days all mixed up as I thought tomorrow was Friday (I wish). Well actually I'm sure the vets office already thinks I'm crazy, I just reconfirmed it for them. But we are going in tomorrow morning now. Here is a picture, not the best, so you can get an idea of how big her belly is.. I think she swallowed a bowling ball.

According to the vet today she is healthy and she is expected to have her kittens in about 2 weeks. So as soon as they arrive I will share pictures with you. The vet only palpated for them because money is tight from the last rescue so we didn't do an ultrasound or anything. I'm curious as to how many she is going to have. Any bets?

Oh, I have named her Molly as well, she looks like one to me.
