So Panda, Bailey, and Chip my three little guys I bottle fed from birth have had a reoccurring diarrhea problem for a while now. We have been to the vet and been treated for different things. This time they came up with having coccidia, so they are on Albon. The vet said they should like it because cats seem to think it taste good and tolerate it well. Well not my bunch, the were drooling and spitting it out and throwing huge fits. Panda was the worst when the vet tech gave him his dose he was swatting the syringe out of her hand, the small amounts that were in his mouth he had somehow managed to spit all over the vet tech, me, the vet, the table and even the walls. Now I have to give this to them tomorrow by myself and it is not going to be fun I already know it. How can I make this a little easier? Oh and they are taking a pill for the high amounts of bacteria in their systems and that results in me being scratched and having pills just fly out of their mouth and they just eat the pill pockets off of the pill, so that doesn't help. It has never been this hard to give my other cats meds, these guys just give me the biggest fight.

I found the text in this book spot on, but the illustrations aren't helpful at all. Good over all book

This mat caught my eye because of its size and texture, which traps fine litter rather well. It's large enough for jumbo litterboxes, which is also a plus. It's not quite as easy to clean as a...

This scoop was a freebie with some clumping litter I bought last year, and I like it so much that I've bought a second one. It's perfect for fine clumping litter, which it sifts very thoroughly....

For both liquid and pill meds, I wrap my kitties firmly in a towel with only their heads poking out and then kind of straddle them between my legs as I sit on the couch and administer the dose. It doesn't keep them from squirming altogether, but it helps a ton. Always have the meds ready before you pick up the kitties. Best to act fast before they figure out what's going on
For actual pills I find a pill shooter works best. I picked one up from the vet when I had the same difficulties. It's kind of like a syringe that just pops the pill into your cat's mouth when you push the plunger.
I hope you find this helpful!!

I have trouble giving pills too.
The crush them until it is powder and putting them in the wet food doesn't work very well.
The method Zoey602 sounds workable

Medicine time was not as scary as I thought it was going to be today. I mixed the Albon with a spoonful of wet food and the powder supplement which is supposed to help boost their digestive systems because they seem to be so prone to getting diarrhea for one reason or another. Chip and Bailey loved it and licked their bowls clean, Panda chewed on it like he didn't really enjoy it but ate it all at least. Pills were still no fun, I kinda half sat on them to keep them from going anywhere and just shoved the pill in and help their mouths closed with on hand and their paws to keep them from tearing my hands to pieces. We tried pills in wet food yesterday and that was a no go.
