I know, it's only Thursday night. But we're leaving bright and early Friday morning and I'm scared to death that I'm going to forget to post the question!

So, in honor of apple picking......

What is your best way to eat an apple? In a dumpling? Or a pie? Or how about some apple crisp with French vanilla ice cream? Applesauce? Or just grab an apple, wash it off and crunch?

I love a good Granny to eat and I eat a Granny Smith every morning when I'm at work.

I usually just use an apple corer and then eat the slices! I don't eat any of the other stuff
I'm crazy, I know.

I like to remove the core amd cut mine into slices and then munch..gala and Fuji apples are my favorite but Ive heard good things about pink lady apples- just never tried them because the ones they sell here are just not very pretty looking

I have a great quick recipe for "baked" apples.

1. Use your apple corer/slicer on your favorite kind of apple (I use Granny Smiths for this, Golden Delicious are good too) and put them into a microwaveable bowl
2. Add a pat of butter, and your favorite apple-y toppings: nutmeg/cinnamon/other spices, brown sugar, maple syrup, nuts, raisins, etc
3. Add about a tablespoon of water
4. Put plastic wrap over the bowl and microwave for about 4 minutes.

The plastic wrap and water steam the apples so that they soften, and the liquid elements (butter, syrup, sugar, etc) make a nice glaze. Delicious.

(But be careful, that glaze is HOT when you take it out!!)

Trapped in the catroom! ;o)
Apple Crisp or dumplings but its all in the type of apples. I absolutely HATE apples that taste smushy gritty...they kinda remind me of old fruit you shouldnt eat. I like apples with some crunch even when baked.

All of the above!
Love Mom's apple crisp, my Nan's apple pie, and I also love just picking up an apple and eating it.

That's pretty much what I do, too, although I love those little tubs of caramel dip with my slices.
I also love caramel apples from Aldi's; they have 'gourmet' apples with nuts, chocolate chips, and white chocolate chips. I cut them into slices to eat (lots of crowns here, so I don't bite into anything hard
)

I love apples. Lately, I have been cutting red delicious apples into slices and putting some peanut butter on it.
I love the little packages of caramel dip, but they are way too sugary for me. I don't like sweets very often.

sliced with cinnamon!

Though recently I've discovered how easy it was to make apple sauce in the slow-cooker, I've made it a few times already! No sugar, added cinnamon and pumpkin spice. mm!

Same here
Use an apple core to slice my apples and love to dip in caramel or peanut butter.
I have ONE crown and another due soon, so I have to be careful too about sticky stuff

Cut the apple into pieces and eat it like that. I had some trouble with a front tooth a while back and hesitate biting into an apple. Also - apple sauce -- love that. Apple pie with vanilla ice cream is great too!

I liked sliced green apples with peanut butter or just a good candied green apple with nuts.
