Hi there!

As some of you know, I recently lost a loooooot of weight, and I am watching what I eat pretty carefully. I do not cook on a regular basis - I am pretty much a microwave pilot

I do eat salads every night, though.
Anyways, my dad was going to give me a piece of jewelry yesterday, and I asked him for an infrared oven instead - I think it will help my healthy diet. For what I can see, you can just toss the whole pieces of seasoned frozen meat inside, program the time, and out it comes ready. All fat drains, and it says that the meat is perfectly juicy as it uses infrared, convection and conduction to cook.
Sounds like a dream! This one fits a whole 16lb turkey in it; you can put it frozen and you just need to flip it once!

Hearthware 20331 NuWave Pro Infrared Oven

I was wondering if anyone here has one of these or another brand to recommend?
I am pretty excited to start having some "home made" food at home finally, and I think I will be able to eat even healthier and cheaper - much cheaper!

I don't know anyone who has one, but I have seen infomercials about them. They look interesting. I've considered getting something like it myself, but I don't really have the space for it, and when I think about how often I really use my oven, I think it would be a waste of money. I tend to use my indoor grill much more because it's only for me that I'm usually cooking for. I don't really have a need to cook a 16 pound turkey.

Natalie, this is with the extension....
It doesn't work like an oven, because in an oven you can's toss frozen food in it - would be nasty - burn on the outside, raw in the inside, and taste like blood.
On these, you can put the frozen filets, with the frozen vegetables, you can bake cookies (wont be my case)... you can put a whole frozen chicken, or a frozen beef filet, or frozen shrimp..... But no thawing involved, which makes it brilliant for me.

I am not thinking about cooking a turkey either, but yeah for chicken breast, for beef, for shrimp, for a whole chicken, for lamb, for a whole bunch of stuff that I am not doing now....
I don't use my oven either, nor do I want to..... I barely cook - nor really do I want to.... These do look like make your life much much easier than being in there in front of the range though..... and no thawing involved
....

One of my girlfriends has it and LOVES it. She said everything comes out beautifully, it's easy to use and clean, and now I'm considering asking for one for my birthday.

I love cooking and kitchen gadgets. Love.
