So my husband says to me today about getting a 2nd opinion for MJ's debulking surgery. Theres this vet who was great dealing another pet. I went to him because he knows alot about a vast aray of pets. MJ should've went there the 1st place but she already had a doc. I would just feel better knowing another doc looked at her. The one who 1st looked at her didn't seem very into his job anymore. He also mumbled alot. My mom went to him for years so thats why i went there. She usually gets the female/evening vet who is very nice but she works evenings and surgeries are done during the day. This other vet has very many great reviews. He explained everything last time so i'd understand. He's just a little more out of the way but worth it if he can do it. MJ is doing ok. She came to get me out of bed to eat. I saw drinking from her water bowl too. Didn't think she was able to do it but maybe i just wasn't seeing her. She has an appt. next tuesday. I feel so helpless and this might help me ease the what if...

Fighting for ferals in NW NJ!
I think that is a great idea!

And great to hear she's eating (and drinking!).
Waking you up to feed her is even better!

Yes, the worst is feeling helpless to do anything.
But this vet sounds great, and it'll feel good, no matter what he says, to have another opinion - especially from someone you like and feel comfortable with.

If you feel in your gut that you should get another opinion, then that's what you should do. It will put you at ease and possibly get Maryjane better care!! Good luck!!

It's always a good idea to get a second opinion just incase the vet missed something.

Just to curb the what ifs. He'll most likely say he can't do surgery either but at least we'll know.
