I'm all baked out!

I have been baking cupcakes all morning. I ran out of frosting and then the little paper cups.

My husbands birthday is today, so I still have to make a CAKE for him. My littlest guy turns 6 tomorrow, so tonight I'm bringing cupcakes for his football team (30- 6 year olds!!!) decorated in NY JETS and PAL Sharks colors and designs.

Yes, it's like "West side story". The Sharks and the Jets. Of course I've been humming "when you're a Jet, you're a Jet all the way...." all morning as well.

I'll post a picture when I'm done with the decorating. in the mean time, please send good wishes for me...I'm turning green, and blue, and I've been eating the leftover batter, so if someone can pray I don't get e.coli or any other egg-bourne bug, or gain 15 pounds just today!!

My middle son turns 11 next week. I'll be black and orange at that time...

The gaining fifteen pounds would be my problem. I LOVE frosting, cakes and cupcakes. I never how which gets more frosting.... the cake or my tummy . Happy Birthday to your DH and your both of your son's upcoming birthdays. YUMMMMMMM you will be all frosted out by next week though

Thanks! the cupcakes went over well. 4 hours to bake and decorate, and they were gone in 3 seconds. 36 cupcakes!!! My little guy was so happy, everyone sang to him, it was really great.

My husband just called to say he's going to be very late-he's just getting out of a subway fire. I guess it's 2 cakes tomorrow. I don't think my pants are ready for this!!!

I love cakes and cupcakes too, I really adore the batter though. I sit and lick it off the spoon, telling myself the whole time that raw eggs are bad. I can't seem to stop though!

MMM sounds yummy! Happy birthday to your boys and DH! I love to bake but I am not a real sweets lover. I get cravings sometimes for chocolate cake or something but I don't bake any because I just want one piece. I want a recipe for 1 cupcake, or like 3 cookies. If I did a whole batch, they would sit and get stale or moldy.

However, now that I will be WORKING again finally, maybe I can bake and bring the goodies into the office to share!

YUM! Just YUM!!!!

I'd love to see the pictures! And lick the batter. And the frosting.

I know that raw eggs are bad. (But I just made a batch of chocolate chip cookies on Tuesday night to take with us this weekend and I dearly love chocolate chip cookie batter. I'm not sick.....yet.)

I thought the problem is the outside of the eggs - so just wash them before you use them, no?

Wow - that IS a lot of baking! But of COURSE they were a hit! So glad he had a great day!

Bummer about DH.... so you'll be celebrating both birthdays tomorrow? At least you have some more time to finish all that baking!

Look at it this way - you'll have room for more batter tomorrow!
