New Kitten

I just wanted to let everyone know that I adopted a kitten Saturday from the Humane Society. He is joining my family of 1 dog, 1 Kitten and 3 birds. His name is Chester. My sister Michele, finally convinced me to get another kitty. My other baby Socki is going to be seven months old.
The new kitty is an orange tabby, he is three months old and he is very lovable. Socki is kinda rough with him right now, but Chester fights right back.
I would have gladly gotten a cat (since there are so many who need homes) instead of a kitten, but I have birds and a kitten will get use to them where as a full grown cat I don't think would.

I think you made the right decision about a younger kitten taking to the birds better. I, too, thank you for going to a shelter to get "Chester"

I would have never gone to a pet store to get Chester. There are too many lovable animals in the shelters, everyone should get their pets from shelters and boycott the pet stores.
