After a long drought and heatwave, we're loving this cooler weather.

This morning its 55oF with a 10mph breeze and only 55% humidity and air-quality listed as great, so I opened ALL the windows in the house for some nice fresh air and to hopefully lock in the coolness so we won't even have to run the A/C today. High of 72oF and sunny. Definitely riding the motorcycle today!

Wesley and Buttercup are LOVING it.

They are sprinting from room to room at top speed and sniffing all the smells from the flowers outside and what not, heh. Unfortunately, Wesley already crashed into my legs as I was just standing there stationary. Dummy!

I've been loving it too! It's been in the 70s to low 80s here, but less humidity and lows in the 40s and 50s at night
Tomorrow is going to only be a high of 67º, cant wait.

I love fall. I wish it were more fall-y here, but the temperatures begin to get perfect in October ...

The cats love it too because I open the windows for them and they spend the evenings bouncing from room to room.

You can't imagine how happy I am with the cold weather
I can't stand the heat or the humidity. I'm glad summer is over
I do feel bad for Luna because all she wants are the windows open

It's beautiful here too. Low of 59 at night and high of 72 during the day tomorrow.

But I'm jealous of back home -- just 2 degrees of latitude north of here, and they're getting into the 30s at night.
stupid peninsula...

We've had our windows open here some; but every time I do it seems to let a new crop of these gnat/fruit-flies in! I know it's not just at my house because others on the local news station's Facebook page were commenting as well! Icky bugs!!
Makes me mad! I want the fresh air!! It smells so good in here when I can open them!!

The one thing I absolutely love is when its nice and chilly when I sleep, bundled up with really warm blankets.

That way you get the dry cool air in your lungs which feels refreshing, but still have the enveloping heat of the heavy blankets that hug your body making you feel all snugly.

Plus, then Wesley and Buttercup are extra keen to nuzzle too.

Most of the year its too warm, and so I just have a single almost non-existent ultra light sheet, and if Wesley tries to get all up on me I'm like, ugh, go away you're too warm, heh!

I don't like the cold either. Actually, I wouldn't mind it if we could have SANE AND REASONABLE weather here during the winter months. Like maybe lows in the mid to upper 30's and highs in the 50's?????? What we often get here in the winter are lows of minus 20 and "highs" of minus 5!!!!!!!!
I definitely don't want that!!!

It was 40ºF on my way to work this morning. Had the windows about half way opened with some heat directed at my feet (I wear flip flops driving, give my feet some freedom before stuffing them into steel toed work shoes all day). I loved it!

Woke up yesterday morning with Rob tucked against me on one side, and Hoshi nearly tucked under me on the other side when the windows were open. I couldn't move
But the blankets were so cozy and it was perfect.

I love this time of year

I'm also crazy and cant WAIT to go back to New Jersey for Christmas. Snowy cold weather to play in!
Going to try and convince Rob to go to NYC with me to see the Rockefeller tree. He says he's not leaving the heat vents at my grandma's house. Though this past January we went to Atlantic City and walked the boardwalk while it flurried. (And he complained about how stupid cold it was

We are having a couple nice days yet (high of 60 low around 40) then temps to drop to highs of mid to upper 40's and low of mid 30's. Windows shut for season last week and firewood starting to be hauled to the house.
