]Happy my 5yr old Tabby has very bad teeth. She's had all the small teeth top and bottom pulled The rest she had scraped about 8mo's ago and her gums are bleeding again . Iv'e been using aqua dent in the cats water but apparently it hasn't helped. I could have cried when I saw blood on her paw that she was touching her teeth with. It seems to be just on her left side and the gum is very irritated and red. I buy everything in these little packages that are for gum and teeth health. Is the scraping of the teeth the only thing I can do. That and everything else I have to take them to the vet for is getting very costly.

Please don't beat yourself up.
Some cats just have genetically bad teeth, no matter how much you brush them or take them to the kitty dentist or try to help. If you do a search on this forum for teeth issues I'm sure you'll see what I mean.

My cats don't have bad teeth, so I'm not sure what alternatives are available to you, I just wanted to show some support.

Other than brushing her teeth at home or adding things to her water, you can also feed her raw meats like chicken necks which clean all sides of the teeth like a toothbrush can't. (At least not without your cat being knocked out :p)
I've even heard of people giving small dog treats like Happy Hips http://www.dogswell.com/happy_hips/chicken_breast_jerky (which have very limited ingredients and are made of all meat) because they are more convenient than buying raw meats but are a large enough size that the cat can't just take one bite and swallow like most cat treats.
