World Best vs Shweat Scoop?

Thread Starter
I've been using World's Best for over a year, and I am liking it, though this last bag has been extremely dusty and doesn't hold odor well.

I am wondering about Shweat Scoop (I think thats what it's called) and I've heard many great things about it.

But I want to see what experience of you guys say..

World's Best or Shweat Scoop? And why?

We've used Swheat Scoop for over a year and are impressed with it. I tried it when it first came out years ago and didn't like it at all but they've really improved it. Clumps great, helps control odor, no perfumes, you can flush it, and it doesn't gum up the scooper and litter box like clay can. It's also lightweight and easier to transport, and we have a huge covered litter box so it's much easier to clean out.

There is dust but I've noticed some bags are quite a bit dustier than others.

I haven't tried World's Best but am interested in hearing comparisons.

I used to use Swheat Scoop, but switched to WBCL many years ago. I found the Swheat Scoop MUCH more dusty than WBCL and it didn't smell as good.

Started off on World's Best, couldn't stand the smell and lack of odor absorbing, and was a bit dusty. Did 50/50 w/ Swheat Scoop for a while, since the red bags of World's Best clumped much better. Then found the green bags of Swheat Scoop, labeled multicat, and use it 100% now.

Smells better, less dust, better odor absorbing, and is even a bit cheaper.

We did have one big 40lb bag though that was very dusty, so I can see how w/ quality control issues someone might get a bad impression of either one from time to time.

I can't speak for Swheat Scoop, but my cats will not use the litter box that has World's Best in it, so I'm thinking it's not a good litter in our house! Has anyone else encountered that issue. Should I mix 1/2 and 1/2 with Tidy Cat (what we normally use) to get the cats to use that box again?

Now we did cold turkey successfully, but generally speaking whenever transitioning to a new type of litter you are supposed to put a bit of the old litter on top of the new litter.

Alternatively, you can put a box of the fresh new litter in a new box next to the old one and wait for them to try it out on their own.

Kitties are creatures of habit is all, which really works to our advantage as it means they generally won't try peeing on something that seems "similar enough" to their littlerbox, heh!
