Best $70 Spent

I got a new vacuum this Friday and WOW is it amazing. It had great reviews and fit the bill to what I wanted and was cheap.

I got the Bissel Powerforce Turbo. Its freakin amazing. I swept the whole house down Friday night and had to empty the canister twice. Swept again Saturday and had to empty and clean the filters. I swept again Sunday...had to empty the canister. I didnt realize how crappy my old bagged sweeper was. I sweep the floors twice a week minimum most of the time I do it every other day. But WOW I was actually shocked at how much that thing picked up considering the last time I swept was Tuesday and right at the end my sweeper went caput.

I am officially in love with this new vacuum. The turbo brush is awesome too for the couch. It picks up all of Hercs fur that he leaves laying around. The downside is always having to clean the filters because of all the cat hair Im picking up. LOL

I have an older Bissell that does a pretty amazing job. I can sweep the living room, fill the canister (mostly with enough cat hair to knit another cat), do it again, and still get more. And again. And again.

My old sweeper was a hand me down Hoover from my sister who got it from my mom who got it as a hand me down. LOL

I could literally happily sweep the floors every single day twice a day. I love this new sweeper that much. Plus it kinda self propels. Its so easy to push around. LOL I feel so goofy for being soo happy about an appliance.

I wonder how goofy Ill be when I finally bite the bullet and buy a big carpet shampooer instead of just having a little portable hand held one. LOL I like my mean green but I need a big time shampooer not some little dinky thing.

Tyler, we have the Bissell Pet shampooer and it's just wonderful. We got it a couple years ago and we love that thing. We can do the carpets in the house and also the kitchen, bathroom, and computer room floors. It works beautifully on the upholstered furniture, too. Since you're already in love with Bissell, check out their shampooer when you're ready to buy one. I don't think you'll be sorry.

Congrats on your new vacuum!

I think I saw that one at Ollies. They had a vacuum and shampooer buy out sale or something. Or I saw it at Walmart or Kmart....LOL I cant remember. I am def going to look into it because I need something that I can use for the whole carpets AND for small spots like on the couch from Herc sleeping in one spot constantly and leaving drool spots everywhere. How is it with sucking up the water? I borrowed a shampooer from someone once and I dont know if it was just because they never took care of it or that it was older or what but it had some issues with sucking up all the water. Im hoping it was just that shampooer.

LOL Im a cleanaholic. It only took 27 yrs to get to that point but Im psycho about stuff being cleaned. If you got this sweeper you would be in love with atleast sweeping the floors...It does hard floors too. Which makes me happy because my broom is the evil part of cleaning and now I dont even need it. It gets all the little dust pieces from the woods stove too which is AWESOME!

I did get the extra protection plan thingie from Walmart it was only 6 bucks but Im really really really hard on appliances. I have to replace my coffee pots every year because by the time its a yr old it is having issues working properly. So I think having the extra year of warrenty service will be a big plus for me just in case I work this poor thing like a pack mule and send it to an early grave.
