Hello All!

I recently joined this site under unhappy circumstances, after waiting months and finding the perfect kitten, he died suddenly just 1 week after his first vet check and adoption (As per the vet "sometimes it just happens" - not the reason I was looking for). I came here as I was obviously devastated, and am very thankful for all the kind words from everyone.

But, now on a happy note, I've just adopted another kitten. He was a "back door drop" at a local vet clinic, and they estimate him to be about 10-12 weeks old. His name is Riley, a little brown Tabby. He is absolutely adorable and just loves to be cuddled. His favorite thing is following me around the house and meowing until I pick him up.

Anyways, I just wanted to say a quick hello! And a big thank you to all the advice I've been getting on the website. It's been very helpful, and I'm looking forward to coming back more often!

Hi and welcome to TCS
. I am sorry for the loss of your previous kitten. But I am very glad that you now have a new kitten to enjoy. If you have time, we would love to see photo's of your new kitten.

From one Maritimer to another, welcome to TCS!

I foster cats/kittens for the local SPCA, and with all of the different virus' out there, unfortunately losing kittens does happen far too often.
Their little immune systems are fairly nonexistent when they are so young. I am so, so sorry for the loss of your baby, but I am so thankful that you have taken in and opened your heart to another baby who needed you.
