It was 9 years ago on October 14th that Maggie and her sister Jasmine (not at the rainbow bridge) came to live with me. I got them from a rescue and I never saw what they looked like until they came to live with me. The only thing I knew about them except that they were having a hard time finding a home because they were older (almost 7). Maggie came out of the carrier right away and made herself right at home. Jasmine stayed in the carrier and hid when I came home from work. She hid for 2 days until one night she let out a loud meow and I found her in the cabinet under the kitchen sink! It took alot of talking and petting to coax her out but once she came out and sat with me she didn't hide again. I am so glad they came to live with me. I just want to say please remember to give the older cats a chance when adopting they are so lovable and make great companions. And at 16 Maggie still likes to play!!!

Happy Gotcha Day Maggie! More people should adopt older cats --- kittens are wonderful and I love them dearly, but it's the older ones that need that special person to adopt them.
