Newbie in Kentucky

Hey everyone I'm Nikki I'm 25, I live in Kentucky(from Ohio). I've got one kitten, a rescue I took in on the 3rd of this month, she was guess-timated to be about 2.5 weeks old at the time. Her name is Remedy Adair, Remy for short. She joined our canine child Romë Adelle(see the naming pattern? lol) who was also a rescue when she was 4 month old, she's now 1 year 7 months old and SUPER excited we actually got her the kitty we promised her XD LOL.

Remy is ALREADY spoiled rotten, and spends her days sleeping in my lap and her nights sleeping in her big girl bed with her favorite toys(Romë's old kennel...big enough for bed/food and water/litterbox)

Remy has been litter box trained for about a week now and throws the BIGGEST fit until you take her to her potty when she needs to go. AND as of yesterday she thinks she's big enough to eat by herself even though she needs a bath after every meal. I think she's ok with that though because she LOVES getting a bath, and even purrs all the way through the blowdry afterwards O.o My family always has been a bit eccentric, and the furry family members are no different XD

Nice to be here by the way! Been looking for a good cat site

I'm fairly new here as well but so far I think everything I've read is excellent and everyone seems very friendly It's nice to here about Remy and Rome (can't get the things above the E sorry). Hopefully all goes well with Remy considering how young the little kitty is Any chance you could upload photos of them together?

Anyhoo welcome and I have a feeling it won't take you long to feel at home here

Welcome! I'm new here too! Glad you joined us. My husband is from Ohio, I visited once and it was beautiful. I was mesmerized by the mountains.

Thanks everyone, it's nice to get nice greeting in a new place XD

Brandy: What breed is Neka? At first I was thinking Bengal, but the spots are so small I was thinking more along the lines of Savannah XD Then again there could be another spotted breed I'm unaware of Also I have one awful pic of the 2 of them together at the moment, because both are VERY high energy and both like to annoy me by turning away while I'm trying to take a pic with my phone(I no longer have my SLR so my phone is as good as it gets for the moment ), but is there a specific thread for photos or can I just upload it in this one?

Thanks ya'll I've posted pics of both my girls in the furry pics and videos thread titled Remy and Romë XD

BTW Brandy if you're on a laptop you hold down the Fn and Alt buttons and type
mkli(or whichever buttons have the numbers 0,2,3,5 in the corners of them) then let go of Alt and you should get ë. If you're on a desktop you just hold down Alt and type 0235 on the number pad

Thank you! And oh she definitely does XD Remy's is most DEFINITELY my cat, we have similar personalities, and she prefers to be with me. Whereas my dog loves me but prefers my girlfriend(her "other mother", though I suppose since she prefers her I'M the "other mother" lol)
