Today we brought home our brand new 2011 Ford Focus I named Polly Pea Green!
Our other car was named Peppy.
SO HAPPY!

It's not the color I would have chosen...but neither is the "gold" color on my Malibu. At least it's not some shade of gray or beige or black, which seems to be the choices at GM these days.

The lime gold on the new Fiesta is really a popular color, but I liked the bright metallic yellow.

On the other hand, I have a pink hotrod...

Congratulations on your new car. I'm happy to see that we're not the only people who name our cars. Most of our cars have been named after the salesperson who sold it to us. The latest is "Wil" --- he's a dark gray Nissan Altima -- of course Wil was our salesman.

Looking good! I drove a nightmarish bright green Ford Fiesta when I was in OT school. Her name was "Sweet Pea." My current car, a white Toyota RAV4, is named "Pearl." LOL In between I had a Corolla named "Girlie Car" (not a properly pumped up automobile!) and "Golden Boy" a Honda Accord.

Your thread made me smile!!!

It's actually not the color we would have chosen either, but it was the last 2011 on the lot and we got a great deal.
We find the color is starting to grow on us tough!

Very pretty car! Congratulations!
(I must admit, when I saw this thread, I thought you'd gotten another kitten.)

People on Facebook thought the same thing. No more kittens for us though.

Thank you everyone!

Nice car. Nice name too

I have a 2010 Focus. I didn't think I'd like it. I had been driving the minivan (which my 17 year old now drives). When that started having "issues"- I wanted something smaller, that got better gas mileage b/c more than half the time it's just me in the car. And I don't haul kids as much now that my oldest has her licence.

But I really, really like it. I especially like the fact that it's really good with gas. And I can fit a commissary run worth of groceries in the trunk
It's not the best thing for long trips, we wind up renting something if the 4 of us are going anywhere long. But that's not going to be forever either since my oldest will be away at college next year.

I didn't name my car. Dh calls his "little truck". The kids have named the van "Apa"- after the big white bison in the cartoon Avatar (not the Last Airbender movie which they all thought was stupid). I just call the van "the tank" because that's what it is

I like your car, Kailie, including the color!

(You can call it PP for short!
)

I have a 2001 PT Cruiser in Red. His name is Clarence. We keep talking about a new car, but darn it, I still really like Clarence.
