I ordered a wig online for my daughter's Halloween costume this year (she's going to be Marceline from Adventure Time). The very long hair for this character is the most defining feature - similar to Lady Godiva in that the hair needs to be very long, so it's not an easy thing to find here shopping on an island.

The wig was ordered on Sept. 30 priority mail and paid for with PayPal and was supposed to be sent 2-3 days after ordered, with an email confirmation when shipped. I haven't received an email confirmation, reply, or phone call reply and I've been trying to reach the vendor since Friday.

I filed a complaint on PayPal's resolution center and BAM! within 2 minutes I received a reply from the vendor! Says he can send the wig on Friday, so I wrote that is okay if I get a tracking number and notification of shipment on Friday. I don't have much choice because I'm running out of time. But if I don't have anything by Saturday I'm filing a claim and calling/emailing other sites.

I sure hope he sends it but I have a bad feeling. What would this guy accomplish by not having or sending it - he knows if I don't receive the item I'm going to pursue it and get my money back.

I'd be frustrated, too. I hope he agrees to get it mailed out to you.

Several years ago, I found a vintage Three Mountaineers spice rack on ebay. Won it and paid for it through PayPal. The guy emailed me and said he was going to send it out the next day. That's fine.

The next day, he emailed me and said that his partner mailed it out. But this particular spice rack had "hand-painted spice bottles" and his partner wrapped each bottle separately in bubble-wrap and then mailed it all out in a huge box. The price for shipping was over $40 over the original charge and would I pay him the additional shipping charge? Well, Rick and I talked about it and I emailed the guy and suggested that we split the extra shipping costs. At first he didn't want to do it, but the box was already shipped out and on its way to me. He finally relented and that's what we did. That was the only time I've ever had any issues with a seller. And it worked out OK; at least I think so. The spice rack got here in perfect condition and the bottles are beautiful.

I hope it all works out OK for you.
