Need a cat collar for a cat who always loses her collar!

Momma Kitty is my champion collar loser! I buy her a new collar at least once every few weeks (along with tags!) because she is always losing them. I have always bought her the "break away" kind because she is outside all day long and roaming around the property (inside at night, though). I have tried the kind where you can adjust the strength of the "break away" function, but she still manages to lose the collar after 2-3 weeks. Does anyone have any suggestions for a great collar made for a cat like this?

Percy has worn the same collar since his neck was big enough to wear a collar. LOL I am not sure what it is that Momma does to lose her collars, but she sure is a pro at it!

Try Beastie Band collars. They're stretchy and very light and velcro'd on. It's harder for them to get it off, but if they should get caught on something, they can slip their heads out.

I got a few for Monet who hated to wear them (he's indoors and always pulled them off!).

I's sorry don't ahve a good suggestion for you, except that since she's so good at losing her collars I'd definitely get her chipped if she's not already.

My Aya is a expert at popping things off her tiny bean, first thing we did in America was to get chipped!

She is chipped. I just like the collar because it is easier for the person who might find her to just call the number on her tag than to go check her for a chip. KWIM?

i would say a cat harness but if she's outside all day then she could get stuck and not be able to get out of where she is... hmm... i donno sorry

My F3 Savannah Loki, is a champion collar loser. Despite having a microchipp I still keep a collar on him .

This photo show the type of collar and tags I use. I keep collar and tags on him and my completely indoor DLH. She never lost any collar. But due to her medical issue, I wanted to make sure she had visible I.D. on her at all times just in case she got outdoors.

She is currently wearing one similar to what you posted above, CatPerson. We shall see how it holds up! I just need to take stock in ID tags. Right now, her name is Juno instead of Momma Kitty because she has lost all of the "Momma Kitty" tags! LOL

I don't bother putting names on most of my cat tags... For one thing I keep switching their collars around, so they'd end up with the wrong names... For another I use small tags and they don't fit a lot of info so I use the "name" space to put "lost if alone" or "indoor cat" or "microchipped" instead.
