Do you take public transportation? How do you get to work?

Normally, I drive, but since my car broke down, I am taking the bus. I hate taking the bus!

I take public transportation to work. I also use public transportion whenever possible. I hate spending money on gas. I would much rather buy cat food .

I drive, even though I live less than a mile away from my job. I SHOULD be walking, but don't feel like it. lol

I'm a stay-at-home-mom so my commute involves getting out of bed. (Harder than it sounds! )

When I worked I drove. It was only a 10-15 minute drive depending on whether I was headed home or into work. There is some public transporatation here; but you have to live and work right in town to get to it and make it worth your while.

I drive. It's 7.5 miles from my driveway to my office. It takes me about 12 minutes to get to work, more to come home because of the traffic.

I used to take the bus all the time when I was younger, but I haven't in years. Dana drives me wherever I need to go.

I used to take the bus, which I hated but now either my help or my sister takes me where I need to go.

I am laid off right now, but if I have to go anywhere during the day I have to take the bus. I am looking into going back to school and its 4 buses to get there and takes an hour and a half. That wont be fun, but going back to school will be worth it.

I take a regional train to/from work and walk to/from the train station. I like taking the train rather than driving because I can read, go online, mark tests, etc., and the walk gives me some exercise.

I always drive in, I have hated public transport since an elderly lady decided to be sick everywhere in the front of a bus I was in, causing not only a nasty smell but also an hour hold up cuz she was refusing to get medical attention and it needed cleaning up!!!
Also, isn't it the 12th today?

I am currently 'between jobs' but hopefully not for long!! (2nd job interview vibes requested!!) If I were lucky enough to get a job in Long Beach between my house and downtown, I would probably take the bus; the buses are really good in Long Beach. Otherwise I'd drive to work. I feel like I have more control that way anyway (unless I had to drive on the freeways, then who knows what would happen).

We take the bus a lot on weekends if we want to go out for dinner or some beers, there are a lot of bus-accessible beer bars and restaurants around. When we were looking at houses to buy, one of our requirements was it had to be near a bus route.

I'm retired now and living the lazy life -- but when I worked I drove to work. When we lived in NY (years ago) I took public transportation - the NYC subway system, which was an absolute nightmare. When we moved to Florida (first Ft. Lauderdale) I drove, and now in Naples (west coast of Fl) I drove until I retired. We're kind of in the sticks so there's no reliable public transporation here. It's either drive - or stay home!

Nope. I don't like it. It takes forever to get anywhere and I LOVE driving myself around! Plus for whatever reason buses creep me out. Must be the germaphobe in me lol.

I drive. I LOVE to drive

The public transportation doesn't really even go out to where I live anyway. I did use the subway a couple times when I was in NYC in April though. You couldn't PAY me to drive my Mustang in Manhattan.

I had to take the bus to campus for 2 years, but now I park on campus. My parking spot is still REAAAALLY far away from my classes, so I drive to my spot then bike the rest of the way to class.

Sometimes I wish I could take public transportation to work, but it is out of the question. No public transport out by me and it would take forever for me to get to work.
