Hello, I'm new to the this forum. I wanted to sign up and post a picture of my cat because I'm unsure what breed he is. He is around 17 years of age.

I've heard Violet Siamese cat, but maybe you guys know 100% sure.

Hi I am new too. I don't know what kind he is. But he sure is handsome.

Welcome to TCS!

You have a beautiful kitty. I'm not an expert on breeds, but I don't see anything about him that looks like siamese. If he's not registered and you don't know his parentage, he's a DSH (domestic shorthair), mixed breed, moggie. All of the terms mean basically the same thing, just depends on what part of the world you're in.

Hi and welcome to TCS . If he has blue eyes, I would say he is a domestic short hair(DSH) with the color point gene. He also clearly has the white gene present.

I have seen many older pure breed (CFA/TICA) Siamese that got that "dark" with age. Yes , they clearly did not have the white on the body.

Maybe he could be a "Snowshoe"? I mean looks wise, since I know all cats without papers are Ally Cat, DSH, Moggy, etc.

In any event, he is a great looking boy .
