Good morning folks. Having just had Thanksgiving here, brings this question to mind: How many times a year do you eat turkey?? (as in a big roast turkey)

If I can avoid it I wouldnt eat it at all. Right now though once a year and I suffer thru it. Im not a turkey fan at all. I swear its the one thing noone knows how to make taste good.

Usually at least once for Thanksgiving, sometimes twice for Christmas. Although we have been known to substitute ham for turkey on either holiday. My dad can cook the most delicious ham...yummmmmm!

Usually twice a year....once on Thanksgiving. And then again in the fall, usually because there's a turkey in our freezer that we need to use.

I am NOT a fan of turkey, so as little as possible

Depends, we usually have it 6-8 times a year if not more.

We just had it twice last week, once with the inlaws then the other time was a turkey supper at the fire hall so we had a ham this Thanksgiving.

I randomly cook Turkeys throughout the year so it's nothing special for us....now a ham is a yummy treat!

Once! It used to be 2 or 3 when I was a kid and the big holidays were spent at my Gram's. Mom and I do one or two turkeys for Thanksgiving. (So we have leftovers!) But we do something else for Christmas and Easter. We've been going all out for Thanksgiving and feeling burnt out by Christmas. Hoping to change that this year!

I would not miss turkey if the last one passed quietly from the face of the earth. I eat the foul fowl to be polite but I don't like it. I usually have to suffer through one meal of it a year

Probably about 6. Twice for Thanksgiving (once with my family and once with my husbands family), twice for Christmas (same thing with both families) and my husband will make a turkey dinner a couple of times a year when they go on sale. When they are on sale, it is cheaper to buy a 6-8 pound turkey than 2 chicken breasts. That ends up being dinner, then turkey for lunch, hot turkey sandwiches for dinner and then I make turkey soup with the bones a month or two later.

I agree with you. I have never tasted turkey that I really thought was delicious without smothering it in gravy.

I eat it about twice a year.
