I'm Back

Hi Folks
I'm George and it's been about 6 years since I was last on TCS, and I thought it was about time I got back in the saddle. To bring you up to date I have 5 cats,

Cristy, who is 11 years old, deaf as a post and has been since he came to us as a kitten of 8 weeks. He is a big softy and loves to lie on my lap and get lots of petting

Snowy, is 10 and a half, he has a very low immune system and is prone to infections, he had all but his front teeth taken out when he was very young because the gums kept getting infected and that was the only way to stop it.

Buddy, also known as Mr. Grumpy is 10 years old and completely blind, he had his eyes removed at 8 weeks due to serious damage caused by cat flu, he is very independent, unsociable, and doesn't like to be petted, stroked or practically anything else, the only time he is nice to me is when I am giving him treats

Sooty, is 10 years old no physical problems but is very wary of anyone he doesn't know, he loves to drape himself around my neck.

Charlie, is 4 years old and again totally blind, no eyes, he was attacked by birds as a tiny kitten and had his eyes pecked out, fortunately he was found and taken to a vet who looked after him and eventually he came to me. Charlie can be very wary, even of me but he will at times come and lie on my lap or get up on my shoulder.

Those are my five cats, I foster them for the Mid Antrim Animal Sanctuary here in N. Ireland. I am secretary of the committee and that is why I have five cats and two dogs, I'm looking forward to spending more time on TCS
Fortunately I decided to preview my post before submitting it and I notice the e-mail address shown is incorrect I will have to try to fix that

Hi and welcome back to TCS . Thank you for giving us all such a detailed description of all your cats.

Also thank you for adopting so many needy cats. I have been doing rescuing and re-homing of cats for many years. I just have to say it is hard for me to get people to adopt one cat like you describe. Let alone so many.

So I must commend you on your great work . Again welcome back to the forum !

Your Sooty is my favorite. He looks like a grown up version of my Boots.
