Growing up I had two cats & a dog before Pumpkin, but I never really "got" the connection that a person can have with a cat until him. He was a barn kitten out at my aunt's farm and came home in June 1999 (I was 11). He is impossibly mellow and loves to be slung like a baby over my shoulder - if I try to put him down before he's done with loving me, he will dig in and refuse! And best of all, he's orange!
