My brother was feeding an outdoor feral when she had a litter of kittens on his porch. He had tried to get her to the vet to be spayed, but it was impossible to catch her. The three kittens in the litter were sickly, and he eventually brought them indoors, medicated them and fed them, and they became his clingy companions.

Two of the three, however, just never did get completely well. They were prone to URI's, and had to be treated for them once or twice every year.

While he was in the hospital a few weeks ago, Patches crossed the bridge. And this week, Bright Eyes joined her sister at the Bridge. They were only 4 years old, but apparently their genetic makeup just wasn't very good.

The third one, Julie, continues to be healthy and a comfort to him.

These were two little lovers who always wanted to be next to him or on top of him. He is seriously missing them, but he still has 3 others and he says they have been more affectionate lately, which helps some.

Your brother has a big heart for the kitties.

God bless him and Patches and Bright Eyes.

Well, the joke is you'll never find a Blanche without a cat close by. Between we three siblings, we have 12 cats, if you count my current two fosters.
