Newbie from Indiana

Hi, My name is Stacia. I have always had animals all my life, including, but not limited to, Dogs, Cats, and Ferrets. I recently got married and own a home with my husband. I was turned on to the forum looking for more cat owners who have experienced the deadly disease of FIP. My husband and I have 4 cats currently. About 2 weeks ago we lost one of our kitties to FIP. His name was Henry and boy was he pretty. Here he is the day we brought him home.

Also we have Dodger one of our younger kitties. He is part Maine Coon and very energetic.
Ranger, who is draining our bank account to keep well, but we love him and will do anything for him. (He has been tested for FIV/Feline leukemia and came back negative) He is our ham poising for the camera all the time.

We also have Critter who is our loner.
And her sister Explorer who is a wet food lover...

Hello, and welcome to the site! You will find a lot of nice people here.

I am so sorry to hear about Henry. He *was* a gorgeous cat; he almost looks as if he had some sort of Oriental lines in him (?).

Your other kitties are gorgeous as well. I have three myself, and I miss them dearly (I'm currently traveling for work).

Thank you. he was part something oriental.... unknown to us... sorry to hear you can't be with you kitties.

I lost a kitten 6 years ago this month to FIP. It was horrible...but none of the other cats got it, and we have learned that it is not as contagious (exactly) as some vets used to think. So sorry about Henry.

Welcome to TCS! I am so, so sorry for the lost of your adorable Henry, what a doll...

I have never dealt with FIP with my own cats but I have dealt with it in foster cats/kittens and it is heart breaking. I'm sure you'll find lots of support and information here.
