I still havent opend mine yet but I think I will do it on the 5th/6th as my OH is dutch and they celebrate St Nicolas on the 5th/6th Dec so I figure I wont really be a darksider if I open then

I have been reading in the magazine you included. I can see that some long sessions with a French/English dictionary are in my future! (But I'm amazed sometimes at the words I remember, such as the words for turkey, gas cap, etc.)
If I get something before the 11th, I will probably open at least one then. That is my birthday and with finances like they are, it may be the only birthday gift I receive.
I was not sure which mag to include, but I thought that one would be good as it has some articles translated, and I did not know your level of French. On the doll, I did not actually make it myself - a friend did - she knits all sorts of French character dolls, and I just loved her fisherman, and thought it appropriate to the region. You can still see them dressed just like that down at the ports.

I have just opend the parcel
and there is loads of stuff in there
so me and the cats decided that we would just unload the parcel and anything that needed opening we would save till christmas day. Here are today pics
