how much dry food

Cynder will be 6 months at the end of october and i have been feeding him 1/3 cup of bb dry kitten twice a day plus a table spoon of wet one in the mornig and one tablespoon at night.. the last 2 days i notice he has been eating quite a bit more dry throughout the day.. should i be feeding him more or just leave it at the 2/3 cups he gets daily.. there is some kibble still left in the bowl when i put his next feeding in but im wondering if he is going through a growth spurt or something.. he has a little hangy belly and is not yet neutered so is he getting fat? or do i just keep with what im doing till he s a yr old.

If he has a hanging belly, that could be a sign of weight gain since he is not neutered, but the only sure fire way to know is to see a vet and ask. Usually kittens can eat as much as they want, but sometimes there are exceptions to the rule.

he is going in to be neutered on oct 24th so i am going to ask the vet for a weight check and if hes is for her to recommend something.. i am also going to give the wellness chunky wet a try to see if he will eat that as you have seen in my other post that he has become a stinky cat his poop is also softer than it usually is and i think it's because of all the fillers in the ff so onto wellness, let's pray he likes it and i can back off the dry food...
