I need some help with this situation. Here it goes... I have had my cat Macy for 2 years now. She's never in contact with any humans or any other animals. It's just me and her in my apartment. I wanted to get another cat for the family. I thought Macy would like having some one to play with. Macy is very needy and demands attention at all hours. On Friday I bring home Willow. She's 9 months old and came from the Humane Society. She just got spayed. I decided to keep them apart while Willow heals. Well, Macy found her on Saturady and was literally spitting mad. She swatted her and cut the new cat across the face. She was completely terrified. I was very upset with the whole event. The new cat is used to other animals.
My question is, what should I do when it's time for them to meet again? Macy is 3 times as big as Willow. Im afraid she will injure her very badly. Should I wait until Willows stitches totally disolve? Will Macy ever get used to her? How should I have them meet? Should I just put them in a room together for hours and let them battle it out? I need help.Im very upset about this. Please any help will be appreciated. Thanks...
