Oh my!! You have a lovely and beautiful furfamily. I also commend you on your choice of cat over ex.

I know what you mean by feeling obligated to take care of everything that crosses your path. I sometimes go on the pets chapter of Craigslist; this inevitably ends with a long discussion with my boyfriend and I about how bad being evicted is for being over the pet limit.

Like everyone else said, welcome to TCS! I'm new here too, but if you need help with anything PM me and I'll try my best.

It is hard to look into those eyes and not help the little being in there. It seems so easy. But if you are old like I am you know it will be tempuary. That isn't fair either.
Eight is the limit. Unless God puts a kitty on my doorstep...God?...lol.

Hi there and welcome. Like you, I have eight cats, all rescued from bad situations of one sort or another. My ponies and goat were the same. I find it impossible to resist an animal in trouble. But I think that goes for most of us on this site. Thank you for posting on my Napoleon's thread, I still miss him every day.

You are welcome about Nepoleon's thread. I been missing my cat that is gone too. I wanted a poem for you but all I got was a line.
We are lindied spirits Jenny. I rescued my animals too. My dog is from the humane soceity and one cat is.

Some lady had him and left him in a bathroom all the time. I went to a tuppeware party. Walked away with a cat. Not too many can do that. I just couldn't leave him there. She locked him in the bathroom because he bothered her too much.

There is nothing wrong with you, I told him, you just need to be loved. I hugged him. That was it we were friends until his body finally gave out.

This is my Speedy.
Yeah he is fast. Poor cat was born in the winter by a bad mix. His mother left the kittens to the father cat. Unssual move, the male cat took care of all those kittens the whole time. Such a nice cat.
Anyway, time took all the kittens except Speed. It was getting close to the next winter when my sister asked me to take him. She was afraid he wouldn't make another winter.
I did. Never regreted it.

Thank you but I know his head is too small for his body. He loves deeply and speaks odd. We get along well. He is a cuddler. Rubs his head up on you so hard. Nice guy.

This is my Babydoll. I made a cat page for her. But its not a good picture. Not large enough.
She was my exs rescue. She collapsed near the bowls of food he was feeding his Feral cats. She was about done in. He nursed to her and brought her back to life. Then it was turn her back out in the snow or I take her. I took her.
She never wanted to be held or petted. She loved the other cats and ran with them.
I am very sorry I brought home a kitten from the Humane Society. I will never do that again, in honor of her. I wouldn't have lost her if I didn't

This is what my Angel cat looked like when I brought him home.
The only one I had to put down. He lost the use of his back legs when he was old and dying. I couldn't just let him suffer.
