you guys are the best.

The nurse came in, gave me a shot of Demerol and took out my catheter this morning. She walked me around the the hall for a little bit. I went back to bed for while and then felt like I had to use the bathroom. I thought it would be okay to go by myself. WRONG!!!
I fainted!!! My blood pressure took a nose dive when I got out of bed up too fast.
I'm okay, just embarrassed. I got a good scolding from the entire nursing staff. I think everyone at the hospital in a white uniform took turns coming in and shaking their finger at me.

So I' back in bed.
You know it just really sucks to feel your body falling a part. I still "think" like I'm 30-something--then I look in the mirror...

Talk at ya all tomorrow!!!!

Awwww Cheryl
to you!

Hopefully you'll be up and walking around soon by yourself.
Am I allowed to be nosey and ask what happened? Like why did you have to have your kidney out?

Yes you can be nosy
I've been diagnosed with Polycystic Kidney Disease. I don't know how I got it, but there it is. The cyst that was found on my kidney was so large that the whole thing had to be removed. There was no way of saving the organ.
I can live with one kidney with out dialysis. I just have to take care of the one I got left. Poor little thing's probably lonely...
