Remember I said in one of my posts that I put flannel sheets on the bed on Sunday? And I had the electric blanket on High?

Well, I walked back to the bedroom last night and this is what I found....look at Tabby; she actually had her eyes closed and she was swaying as she sat there. I had to gently flop her over on the bed and she went to sleep.

Five kids......

And a Pop! Miss Pop, that is.....

Mollipop prefers to nap up by the pillows; I think she was waiting for me because when I crawled into bed with my book, I didn't get much of a chance to read anything. She immediately came over to me and curled in my left arm and went back to sleep. And well, the bed was comfy and warm and....when Rick came back to bed about 30 minutes later, Molli and I were both snuggled in and sleeping.

Actually, Tabby may have been waiting for me, too. I took notice last night when I came to bed that she was sitting in bed again, although she wasn't sleeping. But when Molli and I got comfy, then Tabby came over and flopped down and stretched out along my hip. And zonked right out. I think she stayed there all night, too.

Our kids just love the electric blanket. During the winter, we keep it plugged in and turned on whenever we're home. And that's where we can always find the older cats. When they're not eating, they're back on the bed.

Oh! I forgot to mention...remember I was so upset because Tabby always ran away from me? And I figured it was because I'm the one who catches her to clean those ears? Well, Friday night, I had gotten home from my sister's right around midnight. I cleaned up and crawled into bed. And Tabby jumped into bed with Molli and me and climbed onto my chest. And lay there for quite a while, just purring and letting me rub her face and whiskers. She leaned over a couple of times and we touched noses! So maybe she's getting over it all and she's decided that those ears really do need to be cleaned and that I'm only doing it to help her. It did my heart good.

All snuggled up on the electric blanket, that sounds great!

I'm glad Tabby's warming up to you finally.
Are the ears getting any better yet?

I can so relate!

I've had my electric blanket on high these days too, and it's quite crowded in my bed at night. Abby at the foot in one corner, Katie at the foot either near Abby or in the other corner, and Spencer wherever he decides to flop down, usually on top of me and then he lets himself slide down next to me so he is cradled in the crook of my arm, perfectly.
