Aya and Midori are in/out cats. We keep them in at night and let them choose where they want to be elsewise.
There is a neighborhood cat who comes along who they are not friendly with. He has tree-ed my Aya and chased one or both of them into our house with lots of hissing and ruffled fur. No wounds yet, thank goodness.Very bold unless he sees one of us and then he runs off. He is big fluffy and gray. Seems to come around in the evenings when the girls want to be out. He looks healthy and appears to be owned but we do not know by whom, not any of the nextdoor neighbors.
How do I get him to skedaddle without distubing my girls. They are so fond of outdoors at least till winter hits and I don't think I can get them to change their habits.

, since Shadow my DSH is a bully to other cats I have some first hand experience. Anyway what I do when she attaches other peoples cats when she is outdoors, is spray her with the water hose or throw a bowel of water on her. This also works when she goes after Momma Cat too
