I just wanted to give a heads up to those looking to buy a new cat tower or cat condo, I ordered one online and the quality of it is very port. The fake "fur" is already coming off after a week, and it's about to topple over from my 17lb cat who likes to climb around on it.

The best cat condo I purchased was from www.newcatcondos.com, the Cat Playstation this thing has lasted 3 years, and now I am returning this Armakat condo to get a 2nd quality condo from them.

Just wanted to help others so they don't get ripped off like I did.

Plus now I just read they're a mass-producer in China, doens't compare to my 'made in the USA' condo.

I've purchased 2 Armarkat trees; one for my home and one for my Mother's house. Both are still in perfect shape (just fur covered) after 5-6 years of having them! The one at my Mother's is the one in Ducman's picture as well.

Here are two popular ones with near unanimous 5* reviews from about 500 shoppers:

Yeah -three years on mine - just like Ducman's and still as good as new - and my lightest cat is 12lbs, my heaviest is 18....... and he jumps in there all the time like it's nobody's business!

in my experience with cat tree, especially one covered with fabric or carpet, is that they don't last. When I lived with my parents, we went through cat trees just about every other year and that's using it until there's practically nothing left to it. Overall the ones that we've used were pretty stable but when you have a large male cat tearing up the side of it with another cat right behind him, it can throw the balance off on just about any cat tree.

One of our cats especially just would tear up the posts of the tree. He had broken both of his hips when he was younger and had gotten into the habit of putting all of his weight into sharpening his claws on the tree so with just him alone we had alot of damage done and then add 2 other cats using it and the carpeting on the posts didn't last. We found a simple solution to make them at least look better longer. We often bought spools of the fiber cord some cat trees have already wrapped around some posts and as a post got too torn up looking to be seen by the public then we'd just wrap the cord around it and either just tied it off or used a staple gun to staple to cord to the post.

Pretty much in my experience, you can buy an expensive cat tree but if its covered in fabric or carpeting, its not going to last very long, unless your cat doesn't use it for scratching. We had bought one expensive cat tree but it didn't last any longer than the cheap ones so after that we decided to stick to the cheaper ones.
