so last night cynder was playing pretty rough with one of his soft toys and i noticed later that there was a bit of blood on it. Was it because he was playing too rough or is it possible he teething and lost one of his teeth somewhere last night.. He was fine in all other aspects, and didn't seem to be in any pain. I tried to look in his mouth but he would have nothing of it. did he maybe bite his lip or something?

Depending on how old he is, he could be teething if he hasn't done that already. If that's not the case, there could be a wound in his mouth or problems with gums. Try to check his mouth again, if he's not teething he might need a vet visit.

How old is Cynder?

At about 6 months, kittens lose their baby teeth. If you're really observant and look at the right time, you may see two canine teeth side by side. The new one is usually mostly grown in before the old one falls out. I've only seen it a few time in my life; it seems to happen very quickly. Usually they will bleed a little from the socket, then heal up and be fine.

He will 5 months the first week of october,so im guessing he could be teething, he will be neutered at the end of october so i will keep an eye on him and see what happens and maybe ask the vet to take a look at his mouth while we are their getting the "boys" taken care of.
