Potty Problems with Precious

Thread Starter
My (girl) cats are two years and three months. When they were a year old, I started potty training them on my toliet. I purchased aluminum turkey pans and put one of them in my toliet between the seat and the toliet itself. After three months I made a small hole in the pan. Every three months I would increase the whole. It was working great.

Angel has no issue using the toliet. Precious is another story. Before purchasing them I was warned she had an obsession with litter. Closing in on a year of training, the hole is about six-inches round. I was still adding litter but apparently Precious was not satisfied and began to rebel. She will do her business anywhere she can find paper or fabric she can scratch to cover her leavings.

I have tried scolding, she just gives me sad eyes. I tried praising and treating her sister when Angel used the toliet. Precious knows she is doing wrong but she is stubborn.

What can I do to get Precious to use the toliet and stop messing around the house.

Thank you,
Stacci

Toilet training cats is kind of weird, imo...

Cats WANT to do their business in a soft place that they can also cover their "stuff"...example litter...

I think if your cat is rebelling w/ the toilet training she's telling you she doesn't want to use the toilet. She's even trying to find a soft spot that she can cover her "stuff"...telling you even more vehemently that she wants to continue using litter. Which imo is much more "natural" than her using a toilet.

Just my opinion.
