I found the text in this book spot on, but the illustrations aren't helpful at all. Good over all book

This mat caught my eye because of its size and texture, which traps fine litter rather well. It's large enough for jumbo litterboxes, which is also a plus. It's not quite as easy to clean as a...

This scoop was a freebie with some clumping litter I bought last year, and I like it so much that I've bought a second one. It's perfect for fine clumping litter, which it sifts very thoroughly....

It's a stressful period for both of you....my boy had litter box issues. My advice is to make an appointment with the vet as soon as possible, and write up a little description of
The thing is, the first thing you want to do is see if there's a physcial issue, like a UTI or other bladder problem. Why I would ask you to make a vet appointment ASAP is that if your boy does have a crystal issue, it can become extremely serious, very very quickly.
If it's a physical issue, you and your vet can work to treat it - if it's not, at least you know it's not a health issue, and you can go on to treat the issue as a behavioral one.
Believe me, I know how frustrating it is, and how desperate you may feel soemtimes - but please take him to the vet just as soon as you can - tell the front desk it's a urinary problem and they should get you in quickly. Good luck. FWIW, once we figured out what was going on with my boy, he's peed in the box without problems for over two and a half years now.
- your cat's behavior (does he poo in the box, and just pee outside it? Doe he pee right next to the box? Or in different areas?)
Does he seem to try to use the box but not deposit much? And then go outside?
What you've used to clean the accident areas
Has anything changed in your home? Your hours at home, your job, new person in the house, any little thing
What does he eat? Has anything changed there?

Thank you so much. i really love my cat and dont want to lose him. i will definately take him to the vet. right now i am in the process of moving back home caue my husband just deployed. its been hard for me to do anything. its seems like my cat started his when my husband left. my cat is really close to my husband. so im not to sure if his leaving had anything to do with it. but ive had this problem with my cat since he was little. ive taken him to the vet and hes been clear and healthy. but i am really going to take him to the vet just in case something is wrong with him.

I really would mention your husband's deployment (and many prayers for his safe and quick return). A lot of health issues in cats are actually caused by stress, and the departure of a loved one (your husband), moving, and feeling the stress that you no doubt are feeling yourself might really be affecting your cat. Your cat loves you and may well be feeling totally unbalanced by everything you're all going through.
I really do sit down and write up a little description of what's going on with my cats before I go to the vet - otherwise, I always forget some detail until I get home!
Good luck and you'll be in my prayers.

Sorry to hear about the peeing issues... that's tough. I can relate since my cat just started doing the same as of a couple days ago. It started by her peeing on our couch... not a happy situation. Then, today I came home to the smell of pee and discovered that she urinated on my new living room rug.
I was a bit surprised because it was only a very small amount though. I also noticed that she has blood in her diarrhea (she's a colectomy kitty) and/or urine. I found a drop of blood on the floor this evening too. My sister told me she had a friend that had a kitty that had the same issues and it had a UTI. Going to schedule an appointment for Izzy tomorrow w/her vet to have her checked out. She's never peed on furniture like this before and she's 8 years old, so I'm assuming it must be because she's not feeling herself.
Hope you've had some good luck at the vet!
