There is a beautiful flower at the Bridge now. Blooming like nothing on earth can.

God bless you and your sweet Lily.

Lily was such a beautiful kitten. I'm sure Lynxx was right there waiting to great her

Oh Pam! I am SO sorry sweetie! The hardest part of rescuing is when you're called on only to usher them to the bridge. But she knew love and care, and had a name. The stomp she left on your hearts is no less for her short time with you.

Fly free, little angel.

Pam Please try not to be sad, I know, hard . But thank God you found her in time and she was able to pass on to the bridge in loving, caring and compassionate hands and not alone outside. Hang on to that, sweetie. Lily was loved.

Lily Little sweetheart . Play peacefully now......

Thank you.

We're having such a hard time with this. I'm still sitting here in tears. I just can't believe it. I'm making myself crazy with it all....

If I would have just been able to get her on Saturday instead of Sunday

If I could have gotten her to the vet sooner

If I would have taken her to the ER vet

If I could have just gotten her to eat a little more

And she had peed in the litter box. She was getting the hang of the litter box. And we were so proud of her. She was just a little baby. All she wanted was to cuddle with us. I just don't see why she couldn't even have that for a little longer.

I'll come back later. Thank you for the PMs and for thinking of us. I just can't stop crying.

I am so sorry that Lily didn't make it! I just caught up with her adorable picture, how much she reminded me of Mollipop and Maia as a tot!
Little Lily is now , and will never be forgotten
post #14 of 31
Sweetheart, you did EVERYTHING that you could! I am crying with you sweetie, I have been there myself, many, many times. She knew what love was thanks to you!
Oh Pam, you did everything you could. You showed Lily what love was, which is something some cats never experience in their entire lives. You gave her a gift which is worth more than you will ever know.

The thing with strays is you have NO idea what the health issues were. That could be why you found her. The mothers know when a kitten isn't going to make it and they move that kitten or leave it behind. We've tried to save many abandoned kitten but they went to RB within a few days. A lot of times is just basic genetics. The won't survive no matter what you try. It's heart breaking, but rest assured it is nothing you did (or failed to do). You did everything you could and rest assured, Lily is chasing butterflies and wresting with all the other kittens at RB just waiting to meet you and thank you and give you some long awaited headbutts.

I'm so very sorry.

Lily will always be in your heart and with you in spirit. They do live on just like we do..She will be playing happily now with other kitties and in no pain whatsoever.

Just know that she is looking up at you with her big eyes just like she always did. She does not want you to cry, she will always be with you.

Oh Pam, I am so sorry, HUGE hugs to you. You did everything you could and it's amazing that this little baby got to be loved by you before she passed
post #20 of 31
I'm so sorry. Don't beat yourself up. She felt your love and in the end that is what is important.

Big hugs.
Oh Pam, I'm so sorry, so very sorry. I know how much you're hurting; please, please don't beat yourself up. You rescued Lily and gave her the love and compassion she deserved before she crossed over. You made the last few days of her short little life safe and loving and comfortable. If it weren't for you, she would have passed hungry, cold, and alone. You were sent to each other for a reason, and if that reason was for you to help her on her journey, so be it. You and your sister cared for her, and that's what matters.

Sending so many (((hugs))) your way, sweetie.

Rest in peace, dear Lily, and know that you were loved.

That is so sad after you hoped to rescue her. But do not feel guilty - you really did all you could and gave her the most important thing, love.
Oh,no, that's such a shame, just when things were looking so positive for her future. RIP, little Lily,

Pam, I am just so hearbroken about Lily --- I felt as if I knew her. Don't torment yourself with all the "ifs" --- I don't know if one day would have made a big difference, but at least she had the feeling of love and affection. She is now at Rainbow Bridge with all of our Rainbow Angels there to watch and protect her

Let's talk soon -- I'll call you in the next couple of days.

Thank you. Just thank you for being here. My sister and I are having a difficult time getting over Lily....even though she was only with us for a very short time, we had fallen completely in love with her and we were looking forward to being able to play with her and cuddle with her.

Sandy, my sister, is really second-guessing everything. I told her she needs to stop because it will make her crazy. And sometimes, despite everything, little babies pass away. And I think that, sometimes the older we get, the more it hurts.

Lily knew that we loved her very much and at least she went to the Bridge with a name and with love. For that I am thankful.

And I am thankful for all of you, too. You have no idea how much you've helped me.
Pam and please send some to Sandy. You both are wonderful, loving woman and neither of you should feel any guilt or be second-guessing anything, seriously!!! Think of the love (and yes, a name ) you gave this tiny little kitten. She had a home if only for a day or so, but can you imagine if she perished outside alone, cold and unloved. That would make me very, very sad for Lily. She had you and Sandy and she was able to pass to the bridge with your help, peacefully. You both did a wonderful, kind, loving thing for Lily, OH, it just melts my heart how you saved her from dying alone outside. I am just sorry you and your sister's heart are hurting but sometimes these little ones come into our lives for a reason, so we can help them peacefully and gently to the bridge vibes
