Afternoon all

So as I walk to work the question is

How do you get to work?

If I go to the office, we drive. Well...Dana drives. It's about a 20 minute drive to work. Most of the time I work from home though so all I do is sit on the couch and grab the laptop.

I walk. NYC is a walking city, and I'm only about a mile away, so it's much easier to walk it and save money and get the exercise.

I use to drive a car, but now I take the bus for something temporal that I have...

I drive. My office is exactly 7.5 miles from my house, so it's not too bad; I can usually make it in about 10-15 minutes. Although there are some mornings when the traffic is really bad and it seems to take forever.

I walk thru the kitchen to get to the dining room/craft room

Out the door to either the truck or the tractor, depending what is to be done. Now that everything farming is done til spring, it is just out to the barn and do chores twice a day.

And walk back to the kitchen for that cup of coffee

Right now, I am home too and having to take care of six cats, two old dogs and outside ferals, I do a ton of walking first thing in the morning. When I am working, I walk dogs (mid-day) but have to drive to get there.... wasn't making enough with all of the driving and gas prices. Lost a lot of clients due to them losing their jobs ...

I take the train to and from the city, and walk about a mile to/from the train stations. Commuting time is two hours a day.

I walk to the kitchen, where I make my products. If I have orders, I drive the mile to the post office.

My work day ends at 2 when the first kidlet gets home, then I begin my second job.

This work stuff is HARD.

Lets see...at 4am my taxi business starts and I spend atleast half an hour minimum getting the boss out of bed. Then I have to drive about 11-12 miles to his work, drop him off and drive back home..boot up the computer and stay on call all day long because I never know when the boss gets off work and its yet another round trip to and from his work. Nothing like 5 yrs worth of driving in the past couple years. By the time he gets his license back I will have done 12 years worth of driving. I WILL NOT drive again unless its to the grocery store once a week on Fridays.
