The shelter called today, desparate to move out as many cats and kittens as possible in order to not have to euthanize any due to space reasons. These two little girls are just as cute as can be, but at least one of them has a serious diarrhea problem. If it doesn't start to clear up by Monday, we'll have them fecal tested and probably treat them for giardia or coccidia.

Their eyes are closed because of the flash, not because they're particularly sick.

Haven't chosen names yet, but right now I'm thinking Trixie and Belledenne.

And what little characters! One is much friendlier than the other, a real constant purrbox, but even the shyer one wants to climb all over me.

The diarrhea thing...

Treat for coccidia or giardia first, obviously. However, I found out just a few days ago that the root of Bear's problem was CORN! After MONTHS of trying to figure out what was up with diarrhea that would literally drip from his botton, a change in food did the trick. I am sure he had giardia and coccidia on top of it all which made everything 10 times worse and so confusing for me...not to mention Blue got it and almost died and I was a basketcase. BUT...the food thing is really worth noting, IMO.

Good luck with them! They are adorable!

Not too hard. The friendlier (and sicker) one has orange on the tips of both ears, for starters. But they do look a lot alike!

They may be sick, but they're still very active! They woke me up this morning banging around in the quarantine bathroom, playing. And every time I open the door, at least one (and often both) dash out and take off running to explore the big house!

Dottie has named them Sugar and Spice. We don't agree on which one is which!
