Hi, my 6 year old cat Kaya woke me up this morning with a startling jump from her bed, she jumped around in a panic and I heard her heave a few small piles of this clear vomit, some of which had hair inside.

She then preceded to run out the room and start furiously licking her lips, and then herself. Also she has been going around the room sliding her head on everything.

Now she is still licking herself more than usual and walking around the house a lot but is flipping over and playing like she usually does.

Should I be concerned?

I read that it could be nasal congestion fluid? She recently started "snoring" a few months ago when shes in her comfortable sleep mode. More like she squeaks though. We also live downstairs, in a basement type of environment, it can get stuffy down there too. We moved here a year and a half ago.

This is a picture of the hair.

Hi
. She could be trying to puke up a Hairball that can't pass through the digestive track. I would get her on a Hairball remedy right away. Either through the vet, I think if you call they can get your cat on Laxatone. Or you can give her 1/2 tsp if pure Vaseline three times a week. The problem with the Vaseline though is it coats the digestive track and no nutrients can be absorbed so you don't want to keep her on it everyday. After a couple of weeks then go to once a week. I would talk to your vet first. But I think your cat has a Hairball.

Is there any possibility she got into any sort of poison, including houseplants, cleaning items, etc?

If the behavior is really out of character and lasts more than a short period of time I would be concerned. Behavior changes are a good indication that something is wrong. My first thought reading your post was the possibility that she has been poisoned. There are a lot of things a cat can ingest that can cause problems. Vomiting several times with clear vomit could also be a sign of a blocked intestine. I would call the vet.
