I went and saved a family of cats that were going to be put down at a high kill shelter. I am still trying to decide on names, and get them all healthy. Two of them are sick, and one is really sick, hopefully this medicine the vet gave her makes her feel better soon. But they are all so cute I have to share. If you have any suggestions on names that would be awesome.

First here is mamma cat. I think I might name her Lucy, but not sure yet.

Here is one little girl, she is full of personality. Whenever I come into the room she comes running to meow at me and climbs up in my lap when I sit down. She is a very playful, curious little girl.

This little boy is all go, he only crashes for a nap after he has a full belly and then he is back up again shortly after.

This little kitten is the smallest, he is way underweight but we are working on that. since he has some catching up to do he is all snuggles right now.

The last kitten is a sick little girl, she is starting to feel better with the medicine from the vet. As soon as she feels well enough to eat on her own and not when I force her she should put on weight in no time. She still very pretty despite her not feeling so great.

Now I just have to name them, I cant just keep calling them mamma and cuties.

Thank you I just couldn't help but save them when I heard they were going to be put to sleep. The manager at the shelter ave them almost no chance. They were put on the list for Tuesday morning (8:30am) at 3:45 on Monday, when the shelter closes at 5. I'm just lucky I saw them on Facebook and called to save them before it was too late.

I think I have decided on names. The mamma cat is going to be Lucy. The calico baby girl is going to be Alice. The mostly black with white paws laying on his back in the picture is going to be Toby. The other male that is more white with black spots is going to be Sammy. And last the long haired girl in the last picture is going to be Marie. She is just so sweet and tiny, now that she feels a bit better she is a little purr box the moment you pick her up, and she has started to eat on her own, so now I don't have to force feed her!!!!

Thank you for rescuing these precious kitties! I wish I had the space to do that and that dh would agree!!! The best I could do was a momma and her baby (also on "the list"). They are now thriving and loving life...even though dh did make me keep them as outside/garage kitties. I try to give them luxuries despite that though!

What a beautiful family.
Bless you for you for giving them chance. I wish more people were willing to foster. All it takes is a little space and a love of love.

I wish more people would foster as well. There are so many cats and kittens who if they had a foster could have the chance they deserve to be adopted. I personally pay for everything out of pocket, and ask a small adoption fee back. There are so many shelters around here that will euthanize young kittens with their moms because no one is willing to take them in. If I have the room I pull mothers and kittens and take care of them until they are old enough to go off on their own. They don't take much space, all the little families live in my walk in closet comfortably until the kittens are old enough to explore the rest of the place. They all are of course vet checked and cleared health wise before they meet the other cats in the house. It is so rewarding to be ale to give them the chance they deserve to grow up and find their forever family. As soon as they are healthier I will post some better pictures of them. They have great potential to be gorgeous with a little bit of love and good food. The bath they got when they first came to me did wounder for them, their white was brown and they had litter and their own feces mated into their fur because they were sitting in the litter box in their little cage in the shelter. I love them more each day and will miss them when they go to their new homes, but I'm always so happy when they find a great home where they will be spoiled rotten.
