What are you doing this weekend?

I'm nosy....I admit it. What are your plans for the weekend?

Rick is leaving for Oregon early Saturday morning, so I'm on my own. I'd like to spend a day (probably Sunday) in the kitchen, just cooking. I'm planning on making pasta sauce, shredded BBQ beef, a big pot of vegetarian chili, some vegetable soup, and BBQ chicken pieces. And then baking some garlic parmesan rolls and some Italian spinach rolls. Everything is for the freezer. With Rick bowling early and me having meetings, I need some quick meals....and we don't have much in the way of foods we can prepare quickly.

A few months ago, right before it was time to freeze the garden veggies, we went through the freezer and our meals were from the freezer for about a month or so; we wanted to get things used up so we had room for new. Other than vegetables and some meat that I bought when it was on sale, it's pretty bare.

If the weather holds, I'd like to get outside to get some work done, too.

Looks like my weekend will be spent working. What about you? What are you doing this weekend?

We have a Sea Dogs hockey game tonight!

I'm a little apprehensive for tomorrow... Myself and another foster mom are bringing some fosters to an adoption fair. The thing is, the fair is primarily for another organization, the organization both myself and the other foster mom used to be HIGHLY active in, but we both had huge falling outs with the director because she's nuts... She, however, called the shelter and said they could have some cats there, and we're doing what we have to do to get some kitties adopted. I just hope there isn't a scene. I hope we can put differences aside for one day to help the cats.

Tomorrow night is another hockey game, and Sunday will HOPEFULLY be spent doing some relaxing.

Possibly heading in for some extra hours at work on Saturday morning. Other than that the usual, working in the garage and doing stuff around the house especially since we have a buttload of wood to get cut up stacked and organized for winter. Its time to get the front porch stocked loaded and sprayed down to kill bugs that could be on the wood. Fun fun fun...

NOT!!!!!!!!!

Tomorrow we are planning to go to a diesel dyno day with our F-350 at a local performance diesel shop. Bringing my cameras to get pics and video like I try and do at a lot of the events we attend At least this time we will get the torque numbers our truck puts out - last dyno didn't have the set up for diesels but didn't tell us that so we couldnt get those numbers, just hp numbers. And diesels aren't known for their horsepower, it's all torque!

Sunday we'd like to take our jet skis out to the lake, depending on the weather. Rob's had been in the shop for a bit getting a in-water start problem fixed and he'd like to see how it's working now that we got them back this week. Would be nice to get another day out on them

Mmm!! Can I came eat?

Tomorrow is DH's birthday. He is getting up early to go canoeing with our assistant pastor as long as the weather holds. He usually is only gone a few hours. Other than that I don't really know. I'm going to go get an ice cream cake today or maybe a frozen berrie pie I can just put in the oven. I'm going to do beef stew in the crock pot too.

Sunday is church and I think that's it. Usually we get a nap in on Sunday. Lately I need a nap every day though.

Going to moms just not sure which day. Go to BJ's and few random stores. Hope to be stopping in a newly opened thrift store but that may not happen till next week.

Hitting shoprite for sales and then Sunday I can cook a few things-stuffed peppers is one I look forward to the most!

Going for haircuts tomorrow morning. The to one of the stores having a sale --not that we need anything, but it's always fun looking. May go to Applebees for lunch. They run coupons here on Friday for a buy one, get one free deal -- and Applebees has the best salads! Actually I should be home cleaning, but shopping is so much more fun!

T bucket (hot rod) meeting tomorrow morning. Of course, I have to go to San Antonio and back tonight, so I'll be bright and cheerful, right?

I just talked to the shelter, and they have a couple of little calico kittens that may need fostering for a while.

They're having the NHRA national meet down in Ennis this weekend, too. I imagine Larry Meyers, one of our hot rod club members, won't be at our meeting because he'll be down there. Look him up, and you'll understand why.

Now, NEXT weekend, we are going to attend the GoodGuys Lonestar Nationals in Fort Worth on Saturday and go to the Texas State Fair on Sunday. The hot rod show is fantastic, with something like 4,000 hot rods. A great day (Saturday), if you're in the area. Costs something close to $15 each for adults to get in, but you'll see cars you won't see anywhere else except on TV or in magazines, including some by the big names like Foose, Coddington, etc.

I am going to my sisters for the night. She's still having a hard time since her mother's passing. The rest of the weekend...Who knows. Probably nothing.

Happy Birthday, Draco!!

Not much planned for the weekend really. I'm taking Genever to the vet Saturday morning for her ear. Maybe some gardening later, depending on how I feel. I woke up with a pretty ugly cold today. BF is putting on a new screen door in the back, I hope it isn't too much of a hassle..

Sunday is football day, I'm thinking we'll go to local dive bar Thirsty Isle instead of Rock Bottom for football because the Broncos play the early game, and TI is closer so I wouldn't have to get up as early, and if I still feel awful, it's only a 10 minute bike ride home instead of a half hour bus ride. However, our friend Scott is hopefully getting out of the hospital Sunday, so if he does and he needs anything, we'll help him out. I shouldn't hang out yet though, don't want to spread germs.

I am going to work for 5 hrs tomorrow morning. It is so quiet there on Saturdays. I usually listen to my little radio through my earbuds. I am going to be doing processing. We need to do as many as we can before with transition to our new system. We are going to be offline for about 5-6 days. I am not looking forward to Oct 10 when we go live with the new system. We are going to be swamped!

Like always, working during the nights and sleeping most of the day away. Sunday is laundry day but besides that its work and sleep. Gah, I hate working nights. I miss the sun and soon its going to be dark both on the drive to and from work. Though a full time M-F 1st shift may be opening up soon (if managment has any sense at all.) So fingers crossed.

Happy Birthday, Draco

Took Walden, (my easy-going kitty and often bored kitty ) to Petco for an outing today. He did pretty well. A little stressed due to barking dogs, but took to it pretty well. Enjoyed the car ride too. Got a new toy for the cats. The Motor Mouse. They are totally enjoying it. Walden hasn't stopped playing with it and it has been an hour. You would think he would be exhausted from his adventure to Petco, but NO He is like the energizer bunny.

Dinner tonight with Larry and DD. Larry's bday was last week and DD is coming to see him and we decided to go to dinner.

Tomorrow we are going to some antique stores. Love, Love to do that. I always find wonderful cat figurines.

It's been a busy weekend for me so far! I had two agility classes this morning with my dogs, and then a therapy workshop this afternoon. The rest of my weekend looks like it might be a little busy too; we'll see!

What part of Oregon? I have a friend who lives in Bend and I can't wait until I can go up and visit. The pictures I have seen are absolutely gorgeous! OMG!

I'm afraid that when I go up to visit I may not come back.

I spent all weekend watering my yard (to keep it from dying) and cleaning the house! It never seems to end when you have long haired cats!
