Anyone having flea issues? I have never had fleas before I think I've seen two in almost 4 years. Im gonna get DE this weekend. Anyone have any tips that worked for them I have the basic just. Leave it down for as long as possible. Empty sweeper bag after use...outside.
We are already doing baths and as of right now I have only found 6a fleas on two different cats but still it wont take long for a full blown infestation. I could use some tips. And before anyone suggests it flea drops and stuff like that is not happening. I don't like then and I wont use them unless its literally life or death. I use dawn for baths and I prefer more natural ways to kill fleas.


Any DE suggestions???

Sounds like you already know what to do. Just sprinkle it on your carpets, sweep it down into the fibres and leave it for about a week before vacuuming. You could also put some on your furniture and again rub it down into the fibres. Just be careful not to inhale it while you are putting it down and put the cats out of the room. It won't hurt you but can irritate your lungs if inhaled.

Thanks Yosemite. I just wanted to make sure I got the right info. Every site said the same things but different things about how long to leave it down for. Any tips for putting it on the animals?

I did forget to mention it must be human/food grade DE.

Honestly, I wouldn't put any on the animals. You said you were bathing them in dawn so I would think between the bathing and the DE you should be fine. If you are bathing them it could also dry their skin a bit and the DE might make that worse.

Just my opinion.

Okie dokie. Yeah I know it needs to be food grade I already did the googling on my local stores to see where I could get it and made sure to triple check that it was food grade even going to the brands website to double check. The last thing I wanted to do was get that stuff home only to find out that it wasnt what I needed. That irks me to no end.
